Phi Delta Kappa recently released their list of Emerging Leaders in education; 2 of the 20 are from Washington State. Congratulations to Eric Hougan of Renton High School and Whitney Meissner of the Chimacum School District.
Additionally, voc-ag teacher Harold Mackin of Rochester recently received a national honor when he was selected to receive a grant from North Carolina State University. He was the only teacher outside the Tarheel State to receive the honor.
Congratulations to them all! Especially Rochester, since I just suggested they should get shut down.
